What is a WeddingWebsite4U?
Your own website containing information about your wedding,
including location, wedding list, stag/hen night venue and maps.
Site also contains Photo Albums allowing you to share photos from
the stag/hen nights, the ceremony and the reception.
Why do I need a WeddingWebsite4U?
A site will mean that you can provide maps, accommodation
and other relevant information in a readily accessible form so saving
you having to field lots of phone or personal enquiries.
The site will also allow people to share in the 'big day' even if
they cannot be present, and allow everybody to see a selection of
photos.
When should I set up a WeddingWebsite4U?
We would suggest setting
up the site prior to sending out invitations as this allows you
to include the website address and your wedding email address alongside
the invitation.
How long
does the site stay online for?
The usual length
of time is 12 months but should you wish to keep the site active
for a different period of time this can be arranged. It is possible
to add additional pages for birthday celebrations, christenings
etc as required.
How often is the site updated?
Your site will have 3 stages.
1. The initial design and development.
2. Creation of Stag/Hen night albums (if required) after the event.
3. 'Big Day' photo albums prepared after the wedding.
Additional changes to the site can be made out with these times
but a small charge may be made.
How do I provide the photos?
Our preferred method is to have the photos in a digital
form. (Most wedding photographers will provide the photos on a CD.)
If you have photos not in a digital form they can be sent to us
for scanning and then returned to you. In this case we would advise
sending photos by registered post and if possible retaining a copy.
A small charge may be raised to cover the additional preparation
time required to scan the photos.
How do I provide information about the location,
venue, hotels etc?
The more information you can provide the more comprehensive
the site will be.
Brochures, web links and personal notes are all suitable.
What can I call my site?
The name of your site will be restricted by availability
and when you order a site we will ask you to provide several options.
We will check availability and then confirm with you, your chosen
name. We suggest options such as: www.bride&groomsnames.co.uk
or www.brideandgroomsnamewedding.co.uk (e.g. www.jackandjill.co.uk).
How does the e-mail work?
If you wish you may have up to 5 email addresses based
on your chosen website name. This would allow you to add an additional
account to your existing email making it easy to separate your wedding
communications from your other personal or business e-mails. The
email addresses could include bridesname@bride&groomwedding.co.uk,
(e.g. jack@jackandjill.co.uk).
Will people be able to print out photos?
No. The resolution required for printing photos is
far higher than can be used on the webpage as each image could take
3 to 4 minutes to download. We suggest that people wishing copies
contact the photographer direct or contact the bride and groom and
request a particular photo be sent in high resolution via email.
What information do I have to supply?
The more information you supply the more comprehensive
your site will be. Click
here for our guidelines as to the basic information which we
believe is necessary. The guidelines are in PDF file and requires
Acrobat Reader to view it, click the icon below for a free download
if required.
